Coleman grill hook up

I have a Coleman grill like this one, it has a connection that attached to it with a regulator and than you attach one of those little green propane bottles.
I want to attach it with a hose to the quick connect on my Jayco Jayflight G2. I bought a hose that connect to the trailer and then connect to the grill where the bottle should go but since it went through 2 regulators the grill would hardly light. Is there a hose I can connect to the BBQ and by pass the regulator on the BBQ?

You need to connect the grill directly to your LP bottles, the camper LP is already regulated and you are trying to regulate it again. Check with your grill manufacturer to see if there is a kit to do away with the regulator.

This is the kit that you need. Happy camping!

Thank you, I know I can hook it up to the LP tank but I was trying to get away from that, I was hoping I could use the quick connect. I'll check out the link you provided.

I have my Roadtrip on a quick connect hose but you need to elminate the regulator for the 1# cylinders. To do that you will need a few unions and the 3/8 or 1/2" male end on the quick connect hose to do so. The double regulation is what's stopping it. My hose remains connected to the grill.

It took a little tweaking but I finally got it after the second try. Also you need to use the yellow teflon tape when doing this.

Sorry I don't have pictures but will in a few weeks when I get the unit open.

I am in the process of doing this right now. I removed the regulator from my Weber Q 200. Now I need the hoses to connect to my TT quick connect connection.
If you bought the hose and adapters locally what store did you go to?
I have looked in a few stores here in Orange County, NY and have come up empty.

Last year I picked up a Blue Rhino portable gas grill from Lowes for $5 that was on clearance becaues it was missing the regulator with control knob that fits the 1lb tanks. I put a lever style gas valve on the burner venturi tube to control the flame and hooked a 25' propane hose to it with a QD plug on the other end to fit the gas coupler on the trailer. Works like a champ and the 25' hose gets me plenty far away from the trailer and onto a nearby picnic table.

As others have stated you were double regulating your propane. Too much regulation is never a good thing, if you know what I mean.

I bought the hose online and the brass fittings in the local ACE. Try a search for Mr. heater parts or popane quick connect hose. You could put 2 hoses together to get additonal length.

Also try the local propane vendors. Their techs may be able to make up a hose to you for whatever length you want.

(this mod was done on a Coleman Roadtrip) I think Webber sells a kit for this on baby q series??

Ok, I have a Mr Heater 12' hose... I just haven't seen longer lengths. Camping World seems to carry a lot of the fittings also. Thanks, 3.
