120 volt outlets on slideout
On our Greyhawk 31 FK there are no 120 volt outlets in the dining table and futon area that is part of the slideout. There are 12 lights above both the table and the futon so there is apparently no problem with routing wires to outlets or fixtures. Has anyone added the wiring and outlets for 120 volt power in this slideout? I want to be able to power a laptop at the table without having cords running across the living space to the area above the stove/sink. Seems like a reasonable thing to do.

My Hybrid has 120 in the slideout under the table so you might ask Jayco the best way to do it.

Our 33.5RETS also has 120 volt outlets on all slide outs.

I know JAYCO has done it. Our 2001 DESIGNER had an outlet under the overhead cabinet and the SENECA has one right at the floor in front of the one bench seat.

Our 2 big slides have 120V outlets plus propane for the stove and fridge on the one side. I was curious if they use solid core wire or stranded though..

Both, the feed is romex from the circuit breaker to a box, cord from the box to another box on the slide, romex to the outlet. That is they're normal installation.

It is very common in trailers. Don't know why they don't put them on a MH.

I would think all you would need is enough slack for the feed cable to move in and out with the slide and not touch anything that might scrape the outer conductor.. They really don't move all that much out going out...

Our 08 GH 31ss has an outlet under the dinette table (which is on the slide) in the bench wall close to the exterior wall. The feed wire runs from the chassis frame over to the outer wall and then thru the floor into the storage compartment. IMO it's in a poor location as it is difficult to plug anything in without crawling under the table top. If you could put one up higher, or mount it further away from the wall it would be easier to use it.

Our 2011 31DS has a 120V outlet under the table on the slide. So it can be done. Next time I pull the top off the dinette bench will look for the wiring and see how it may be run.
