Diamonds
Does anyone know anything about the diamond shield protective coating? Is it beneficial and is that something you would put on a hybrid?

It protects the lower part of the front of your trailer from rocks, stones, and road debris that are thrown up from your truck tires. It is particularly beneficial with aluminum sided trailers as they ding and dent easily. I suppose it would also protect the glass sided trailers (which of course include hybrids) somewhat from gouges and scratches from rocks.

Are you sure you are talking about the same thing? I read his post as putting on the Diamond Coat Finish car car dealers try to sell you that coats your vehicle for paint protection. They charge you hundreds of dollars and throw in a couple of goodies like a chamois cloth, imitation sheep skin mit and a bottle of touch-up sealant. You can do the same thing with a bottle of Mother's Sealant and a little elbow grease for about 20 bucks. If I read it wrong then I apologize.

OK my mistake, I thought he meant diamond plate on the front. I had not heard of the Diamond Coat Finish. But like all aftermarket dealer installed treatments, I would stay away from that as well.

Yes, you answered my question, thank you we will probably pass on it then. Just wanted to make sure what it was about before we get down to doing the final papers. Thanks again to both of the replays. Very helpful.

Save your $$$ Diamond Shield is worthless... and the dealer will find any way to NOT give you warranty on it...
A good waxing on the body and if you really want you can spray the frame and A frame with a Rino type lining... (dont spray your stabilizers)
