Sacramento

Has anyone camped around Sacramento California? We are full timing it across country and want to spend a month or two visiting our son and his family in Sacramento. Any tips for a nice campground in that area?
Thanks!

I come from Sacramento and am flying there this morning. If I see or hear of anything nice I'll pass it along.

a couple possible sites

Just spoke with a fellow here in Sac who fifth wheels in the area. He gave me a few suggestions. Of course, not knowing where in Sac your family is, some may be longer commutes.
Lake Minden RV Resort and another called Delta Shores. This guy fishes so of course the waterside places are his favs.
I'll send any more that I hear of.

another to look at

Heard from another neighbor here that there is a secure rv park at CalExpo. I tried to look at details online but few details to be found. If you want just a camp without fishing, hiking and such with easy freeway access might be worth looking into that one. Its also very near to restuarants and stores.

Thanks Cosmik Debris! Yes, that's all we need is a place to park it for a month while we visit the kids and see the sites. Our plan is to visit wineries and a trip into San Francisco. Last year when we flew out we went to Yosemite. Wow!
I love California. I lived in San Diego for ten years and miss that beautiful city immensely.
