Campground hazing

I couldn't figure out a better title for this thread so hopefully it makes sense.

Has anybody ever done anything in fun to a new camper in your group or had anything done to you? Our friends have gone camping with their adult cousins and had bird seed tossed on top of their trailer which can really create some havoc on top of your trailer at 5am. We generally don't do anything but thought it would be fun to hear about.

In Michigan all you have to do is drop a Dorito on the ground by someones trailer and soon there will be swarms of seagulls, blue jays and chipmunks to annoy them the rest of their stay.

That's punishment enough!!

Many years ago we had a group going to one campground and found the ground so hard it was bending the metal tent stakes. We all took chairs and circled their site as they showed up late to watch them put up their tent.

We were the ones surprised when they had the new type fiberglass pole tent that didn't need to be staked down.

That's as close as we get.

Back in our tenting days, we were at a family outing and my cousin was in a tent with one of our Aunts. Each night we would creep up ever so quietly and say "Warp Warp" a few times. This was some 30 years ago, a few of us talk about it, she does too. To my knowledge no one has ever told her what made the noise.

We used to "haze" each other a lot in Boy Scouts (can't use that word anymore). Now? Yeah, we watch the noobs come in and get setup, and we make comments and observations to each other, in private, as I'm sure people did and do to us. But as an adult, I haven't experienced anything I would consider "hazing".

However, I will probably go on a group outing this year with some of my neighbors, and I can only imagine what they have up their sleeve. One is retired Air Force and the other is a police officer; I wonder what ways they'll think of to hassle the desk jockey...
