is my heater about to fail?

Just did 4 days in a Southern MN state park with a lows in low 30s F, so used the heater each night. Every time it ignited there was a noticeable momentary dip in the electrical current, like it was almost too much load; you know, like when you turn on your garbage disposal or some high-draw appliance at home and the lights dim momentarily. We had no other electrical draw present -- no lights, no supplemental electric heat, etc. -- just the heater fan. Plugged into 30 amp service. Igniter was replaced new last season after OE igniter failed. Don't recall that dip thing happening before, is it normal?

In my opinion, it's not the heater. It's either 1) the campsite power to your trailer or 2) your power converter. Did you try it again when you got back home?

That is usually low power at the pole.. it is why I have a Surge guard it protects the RV from low voltage high voltage spikes and miss-wired power plugs.. all of these can kill sensitive electronics like A/C and TV's.

That's reassuring, thanks. Will try at home, thanks for the suggestion. But it's now in storage so it'll have to wait until next spring.
