What is this?

I have this clip thing on the curb side of my 185rb. Its about 3ft up the side and a couple of feet aft of the front edge of the trailer on the side. It's just pops out and looks like a curved piece of plastic on a hinge. What is this thing for? I can post a pic later if nobody has an idea.

I'm thinking it may be to hold the storage door, but it seems kind of weak to do that.

It probably is for the storage door. The storage door doesn't require anything heavy duty to hold it up.

Thanks DocBrown, once the brain cells kicked in I figured it out...I just don't use that door so I didn't put 2 and 2 together.

Don't fret George. It took me two days to realize that I had a 12 volt plug in right above the nightstand. These things take some for us newbies. I looked at the water heater/pump/fresh tank for the first time yesterday. I have no Idea which of the vlaves is the bypass valve. Gotta keep learning.

This is not my first TT so consider myself pretty experienced. Never the less, I use a sharpie to mark bypass valves and other hidden switches, breakers, and valves. When I winterize its right there for me so no trial and error. Getting older so I can forget my name if I stand up to quick. No shame in using cheat sheets and keeping that sharpie handy. Helps to take the guess work out of set up and shut down

The forum is great for newbies and those of us who have been around the block a couple of times. Always things to learn and to fill in the things that we have forgotten.

Hey bassdogs. Dont I know exactly what you are talking about.
I have owned some form of RV since 1982. I have not only winterized my own, but many others at the CG/Resort we bought in to.
Not only that, but Im a tech at an RV dealer. Well guess what. This is the first year we have had to winterize "anything" with a residential style fridge. Yup there is a tech there that has been a tech for 30 years. Neither of us can figure out how to get antifreeze to the icemaker (without yanking the fridge out of the hole, and removing the back panel). So unless we can get some enlightment, a typical winterize (with a res. style fridge) might cost the consumer $500+. Yes thank you very much RV manufacturers. Lets leave the RV fridges to the "original" RV fridge makers (Norcold and Dometic).

I think it's cool that I'm discovering features I didn't even know I had after two months ownership and three outings..best moment for me so far was after spending all my camping time tinkering, last trip I propped up me pillow on the bed and set the overhead light just right and watched my bedroom TV for first time..one channel Godzilla movie..it felt really residential and was very cool!
