I watched them grind the paint off mine and felt sick but it allows the spray on to adhere completely. The bed will not rust on mine anyway.
Next time I didn't watch!

Well I'm going to give the BedTred by Bedrug a shot. A lot of great reviews on them. If I don't like it I'm not out a terrible amount of money. Just not ready to go the permanent spray route just yet. And if the bed ends up getting all scratched and scuffed up with the drop in, well it'll be a lot easier at that point to have it sprayed since they grind the paint off anyway.

I was concerned about the same thing when I was having mine sprayed in. I had mine put in at a local company here in West Michigan. Stone Liners is the name. They apply it at a temperature of 145 degrees and it dries in about 45 seconds. It seals to all the surfaces so it can't trap moisture. Af far as destroying the paint, it gets sanded prior to the spray being applied, so it's destroyed anyway. I also had them apply it over the rails.

I've had Line-X, Rhino and currently have SuperLiner spray in liners. I think any spray in is better than any drop in. The deal with spray-in is how well the prep work is done.

On the current truck I would have gone back to Line-X, except my close friend who used to spray Line-X changed to SuperLiner, he had his reason and I trusted him. So far 2 years and that liner looks great -- and has had many loads on it.

I bought my truck new in 2006, and while I was waiting for the dealer prep, I walked the lot and saw a used truck with a Bedrug in it. I came home, looked them up on line, liked what I saw, and ordered one. Been in the truck since 06 and holding up great! Made to contour to your make and model truck, great fit, although I had to trim out for the hitch rails.

I too have put the BedRugs in my trucks. Great product, excellent quality, you can crawl across it to retrieve stuff and not tear your knees up! They are custom fit for your truck and look great!

Here is my BedRug in my 3 day old truck...ordered the night I brought the truck home!

Those drop in liners will scratch your shinny new bed.. you can put in a Line-X and they are very good or you can do it yourself with a spray in kit. I did that and it has held up well to 7 years of hard use.

I absolutely agree with SmokerBill. I bought a new Ford F-150 in 2002 and immediately had a Rhino lining installed. It did a great job, but everything seemed to slide all over the bed of the truck.

When I bought a new Tundra I decided to try a rubber mat to cover the bed and the tailgate. Nothing slides anymore and what an improvement!

Another Bedrug fan here. I can load furniture without concern for scratches or mulch without concern that I can't hose it clean after. So much easier on the knees when crawling around back there.

I had Armorgard sprayed in the bed of my truck and over the rails. Owned my truck for 10 yrs and it has been perfect...lifetime warranty. No rust issues.

Ended up going with the Bedtred made by Bedrug. Gives the same appearance as a spray in which I like and nothing has moved in the bed that I have put back there. Going camping this weekend so I'll have alot more in it to really put that to the test. Installation was easy and my knees like the foaminess of it. It's also rained heavily and drys real quick. Think it's designed allowing the water to seep down through the seams and run out along the actual bed channels underneath. Long term use will tell.

Thanks all

Absolutely nothing that comes close to a quality spray on liner. Will last forever [guaranteed] and with over the lip coverage adds strength and protection to the lips of the bed. Bought a used 2010 2500HD chevy that was in mint condition except for the bed. It was trashed [not sure what they hauled but covered with scratches] and had a rough cut hole cut behind the driver side corner where they had installed an aux fuel tank. Had a local shop weld a patch over the hole and then had the whole bed coated. About $500 using the dealer volume pricing and the bed looks absolutely better than new. Patch is impossible to see and I challenge anyone to chip or gouge the liner. No plastic slide in liner is even on the same planet.
