Television for White Hawk bedroom

DW wants a flat screen television in the bedroom for our 2012 White Hawk where the bedroom is in the front and the television mount wall is to the back of the bathroom shower. My questions to anyone with a White Hawk set up like this are:

1. What maximum size Television did you get an still clear the power plug & cable outlets?

2. What mounting bracket did you use?

3. How did you bolt it to the wall, such as through bolts or screws?
Worried about bracket bouncing off wall when traveling and not much space behind wood mounting board and shower wall.

My install was in a 2014 30dsre so not the same as your's. But a couple things to consider for you. 1] To get HD if using a sat connection, you'll need to run a 2nd direct input for the bedroom as HDMI won't reach from the main input. 2] There should be a TV mount decal on the wall in the bedroom. Be careful since these things are notoriously not placed accurately. I used a cheap swing mount I purchased via Amazon but note that non rv mounts do not have a lock feature to keep them secure during travel. I jury rigged it with a small cork button on the top of the window valance to hold it tight to the wall. Just lift it over the button when set up and swing it into the desired position for viewing. As for the sat I installed an input thru the outside wall [Camping W] so the bedroom has its own receiver. Size will depend on the location, I mounted a 24" Sanyo LED which seemed to be the optimal size.

We use the VIZIO 22-inch HDTV... Ours TV wall is just right at the end of the bed and the 22-inch is plenty big enough for us to watch...

Just be sure you get a TV MOUNT that allows you to hinge down to get best possible viewing. Most of these TV sets require you to be looking directly at them...

We only have CABLE TV and OTA TV hookups... We use the heck out of the OTA BATWING antenna to pick up the local towns everywhere we go. They broadcast in full blown HDTV mode...

My setup is a little different too, but it is behind the shower. First thing I did was use a stud finder to be sure I knew where the backer was (it wasn't under the sticker). From there I was able to use a combination of small lag bolts into a stud and then toggle bolts through the backer (it's only 3/4 plywood). I don't remember for sure, but I think the TV is a Samsung 27". We don't use satellite, so no issues with running another wire.

I had a small tv from my previous trailer and used a flat wall mount from best buy. It cost me about $10. Pay attention to the posts about using a stud finder. I wish I had as the sticker was off where they said to mount. The mount I used had a flat mount and one that is slightly downward. I used the mounting hardware that came with the mount.

I went out and pulled the access panel in the bedroom wall behind the shower stall. There are two studs, one against the outside wall and the other to the far right 4" approx. to the left of the doorframe. Between these two studs is a 1/2" 36" X 14" piece of ply board. How it is held in place I cannot tell. The "Place TV bracket" sticker is lined up for this board but not centered. So it appears there is a lot of room to move the television bracket around. I believe that what I will need is a four-hole mounting bracket and through bolts with the butterfly spring nut or figure a way to get a large washer and nut up to the four bolts in the confined space. Then tighten them up pulling the ply board up to the thin wall cover. Again there is NO stud in or near the spot Jayco has the "Mount TV bracket here".
Any thoughts?

We have a 24" Toshiba TV with built in DVD player. It is mounted on the place indicated by the Jayco sticker.

The mount was about $12 from Amazon, with swing arm with tilting TV mount.
Works great. Tighten the adjusters for tilt and swivel and you will not have to worry about it when you travel.

The bracket mounts to the wall with two screws. We have had no problem with this in two camping seasons.

hi,
we have a 2015 - 24 rks and had the dealer mount the tv mount behind the bathroom, was prewired with ac and cable. Used a 24" Samsung however the mounting bracket does not lock like our front tv and it bounces all over the place when driving, am going to have the dealer install a locking unit.
