We have stayed at King's Holly Haven on Weir's Valley Rd. (US-321) for the last three Thanksgivings. They are centrally located just off the beaten path in Pigeon Forge. There is a trolley stop there and they are near a Kroger grocery store. It is a really nice park and it is only about $25 night off season with a Good Sams or AAA discount for 50 amp service. There are several other good parks near by on Weirs Valley Rd. as well. I think they are all about the same. I think maybe King's is the least expensive though.

In East TN we make our own moonshine by the case.

Did someone say Moonshine? I think campground we're looking at is Foothills RV park. Has anyone stayed there? Looks like good reviews.

No, but we were there in October for 8 nights. We stayed at Camp LeConte a few minutes out of Gatlinburg on Hwy. 321. It is fairly new. It used to be LeConte Vista and new owners took over a few years ago. It's very nice, convenient to Gatlinburg, the park, and yet far enough away to be nice a peaceful. Their website is www.campleconte.com

Enjoy your trip. I love the Smoky Mountains. 27 trips in the last 30 years!

Have stayed there twice for camping club weekends. Large flat campground with mature trees. Clean restrooms. Cannot say much about staff as the club took care of check-in. Some what difficult to get into campground due the the intense traffic that can be present of the parkway between Seveirville and Pigeon Forge especially from Friday afternoon to Sunday. If there is a Hot Rod Run or a motorcycle rally then it is even worse. The campground is about a mile or two outside of Pigeon Forge and 10 miles or so to Gatlinburg.
