Purpose of cable connections
What is the purpose of the two connected cable connections under the main TV cable input?

If you have a satellite receiver, you plug it into the one marked satellite receiver.

this pic will shed some light. I am sure yours is unmarked and black just like mine. unsure why Jayco thought this was smart.

I sincerely appreciate your excellent response as this makes this much clearer. And, yes, why doesn't Jayco put this (probably in white) on our black connections?

your welcome
It boggles my mind why Jayco does this. There would be almost zero cost to do it right but then it is just something else on my list of why didn't they
-Led's
-fantastic fans
-black tank rinser
-put RCA cables where a TV is suppose to go
-bunk fans
my list is growing

on our Whitehawk, the connection marked "A" is wired to the right hand side of the trailer satellite connection, and the connection marked "B" is wired to the left hand side of trailer satellite connection.. Took me a while to figure that out.

On my rig that plate is down low and on the back wall of a cabinet. You have to be a contortionist just to see it.

So that is probably why they are tied together in my 19H so that I can get the cable signal to both inside my trailer and to the outside connection.

correct
the purpose of the loop is to continue signal through out the trailer. They do this so you could put a sat. receiver instead of the loop if you have a dish

Likewise, our plate is buried behind the tv inside the cavity of the fireplace chimney. Not only do you have to be a contortionist, you have to remove the tv from the wall first, have a good flashlight, and a pair of very long arms! After doing that a couple times, i hooked up longer cables and ran them out behind the tv as I only use satellite, and not cable.

I'm trying something out. There's a lot of confusion on how the Jayco TV stuff works, I've created a little manual. Here's the first draft, tell me if this is helpful.

That looks good for my Jayco installed system. However, the new high end 5th wheel units have both a cable and a satellite connection on the exterior. I don't know any details.

My 08 Greyhawk 31ss does not have this A B plate, or I haven't found it yet. It's not in the same general area as the main tv, which is located in the cabover portion on my GH. any suggestions on where to look.

Good job nylyon and thank you. That is something that should be in a manual supplied by the manufacturer but of course isn't. We have the exact set up and is buried in the cabinet. I had to disassemble the wiring to figure out how it was wired because I was losing signal due to to many splitters. Less experienced rvers can read your guide and understand it quickly.
