Wash Job

Just out of curiosity, what is the going price to get your fifth wheeler cleaned up on the outside. I just had mine done for $225. I know when we are at the Samborees, guys are charging upwards of $350. I know a lot of you clean your own, but for us old geezers who can't climb around anymore, that isn't an option. If you will look closely under and past the awning, you may see one of my shooting houses for deer hunting. If I don't want to wake the wife early in the morning, I can sleep out in the fifth wheeler and walk right to my stand. What a life!

I got my truck and trailer washed at Blue Beacon Truck Wash for $65. I like to do mine my self but I paid because it was covered in love bugs and I did not want to leave them on for 2 weeks or more. Are we on different line of thought?

Possibly. All the traveling cleaners use pressure washer it seems and I wanted mine done by hand. I am not sure if Blue Beacon does that or what. I did have a lot of dirt and grime on mine and I don't think just driving through a wash would do it. How satisfied are you with Blue Beacon? Sounds like a positive experience.

I always get a hand wash on our TT and I let them use High pressure washer on the TV. When we had our big trucks on the road we always got them wash there and do a great job.

I had my last fifth wheel which was 32' done at a large truck wash for 55.00. Got all the bugs off and did a nice job with the roof.

I was really referring to folks who get their units washed at home or at campgrounds by those traveling with their pressure washer rigs. I should have been more precise in my questioning. My dealer frowned on pressure washing the units as damage could occur to the finish and possibly water getting inside. That made me afraid of the drive thru washers which those of you who have used, seem to be happy with.
I checked my unit over carefully after the young man finished washing it an had nary a drop of water inside. I especially checked around the air conditioners. Even dropped the inside cowling and checked gasket seal. Was quite surprised that they were snug and had plenty of gasket showing. There is even yellow markers around the gasket to show how much is there. Seems lots of people have problems in that are so was pleased to see I'm not one of them.
The young man said he does a lot of trailers and airplanes. Said he thought I should get it done at least twice a year and would only charge $100 after the initial soaking.

We usually go west every year South Texas or Az and you can get a hand wash and wax for about $110 they come right in the park and do it. This year we are staying home in freezing Michigan and will probably have to do it ourself next spring for me it's a three day job [emoji20]

Dad pays $110 for his 5er to be washed and waxed in the campground in Florida. Does this twice a year and they even treat the roof. I was up on his roof over Thanksgiving, and they really do a good job.

namusmc65, I've always had my 31.5 RLTS Eagle 5th wheel done at Blue Beacon Truck Wash centers and they do an awesome job, no water inside as long as everything is closed up snugly. $65.00 price and I always have them put on the wax and like rain-x treatment and am very happy with their job they do for that price and in and out in about 30-35 minutes with both TV and 5th wheel sparkling clean!!!

In Yuma the price for wash and wax was $100.00 last year and they also do the roof. Don't know about this year but will find out Dec.30h ,weather permitting. They also come on site.

I understand hand wash and wax but what exactly does "doing the roof" consist of?
