Chris,
I am out in Oregon and am not quite sure what you're talking about as I have not heard of anything you referenced.

I have another question for the general forum about the use of a silicone based product on the rubber seals on a person's travel trailer slide. Are most people using something to keep the rubber supple and not allowing them to dry out, or is there another product that might work better than the silicone based spray products?

I have always used them. I have tried the el cheapo brand at Walmart and the special silicone lube for 3 times as much $$ and don't see a dimes worth of difference. IMO, the important thing is to use something and wipe them down as best you can from time to time with a clean cloth. Some areas are unreachable.
