Has a newbie come up with a creative design for the shower faucet?

So being a 35 year repair plumber, I was never quite satisfied with the design of the shower faucet. Something Subconsciously gnawed at me for a couple weeks. And then it hit me, a kitchen sink sprayer. So I cut the hose and put on the sprayer and it was absolutely perfect, did the job. More than enough pressure to bathe with and so handy having that on off nozzle at my finger tips! Works superior to the hand-held shower head with the on off button.

Granted, you can't leave it on nonstop, but boy does it can conserve hot water

Thank you sir!!! I was sweating it out that some old timer would make fun of me The beauty of it is, it increases the pressure times three, without going through more water. Like when you put your thumb over the end of a garden hose and make it spray harder, but you're not using any more water, in fact, you're using less water. You are reducing the volume to make it seem like you are creating more pressure. The water that comes out of that thing almost stings me and fully envelops me. One happy camper. The farther away you hold it, the broader the spray. The pic only showed start of it where was more condensed, but it broadens out the size of a human head. Took me literally five minutes to do. And ultimately you're running water through a quarter-inch OD tube, which is very little water usage.

Great idea....so I take a Kitchen Sprayer and attach it to the shower....and I get more pressure. I think I may try this on the Outdoor shower first as it is good for cleaning my dog. If I like the results I will put one in the Bathroom shower as well.

Well... You don't really just attach it. They are totally different fittings not made to go with each other. Just cut the hose on the hand-held shower and cut the hose for the kitchen sprayer and link the two together with a smaller piece of pipe in between the two and use to very tiny hose clamps.

A poly 3/8 inch typical every day supply line sold anywhere for a toilet or lav sink will suffice. Inside diameter quarter-inch, outside diameter 3/8.

That doesn't count for two reasons. First, you must've done a search and come up with it, and the new creative newbie rule, statue 12, para 14 states, in part that "no search may be applied to discover whether or not a newbie idea and or concept is truly creative"

Two, he said each task took him 30 minutes, and my way took me five minutes, so my way is more creative

Have you seen the Oxygenics shower heads? Mine uses about the same amount of water as a kitchen sprayer.

I put a fitting on my os shower sprayer that allows me to install a hose sprayer. It works great for cleaning grills and washing dogs because I can make the spray water any temperature I want.
