We finally decided on the dual Honda EU2000 which gives us not only the quietness that we wanted, but also the option of when we don't need the AC to use only 1 generator for the items we use. We don't have a lot of electronic toys.....not because we don't have them, but because that's our whole purpose for camping, to disconnect from all those time robbing devices. Besides, our hands are usually filled with fly line and fly rod.

We both have smart phones and really that's about all one needs today to stay connected and even those stay turned off most of the time.

Good choice, that is exactly what I did. I own 7 generators, and 5 are Hondas, and those 5 have never given me trouble. I could have bought Hondas in the first place when buying the other 2 with what it cost me having guys stand around watching me try to start a gen instead of them working with the power they were supposed to be producing.

My Champion 3100 arrived today & i must say i am quite surprised at how quiet it is. I thought compared to my Yamaha 3000 it would be really loud but it isn't. I like the fact it has more power & is nearly half the weight. Only test run in the garage so will see how she goes on our next trip in August..

Yep! I found out about the Champion "altitude issue" while on a Western US trip. Kinda put a crimp in our travel plans because it actually quit running at the highest altitudes. I have the 2000i inverter model.
