Stabilizer Jacks

When storing the trailer for winter. What is recommended, stabilizer jacks extended or retracted?

I keep my RV set up behind my wife's work when we are not on a trip so I keep mine down with the unit leveled. Never had a problem.

plan on leaving mine down however I am going to put them on thick blocks even though it is on my paved drive just in case of freezing ice. They won't be down anymore than 6 inches

I always leave mine down and have every Winter without a problem. I prefer the TT to be leveled and stabilized. We store our TT on the North side of our garage on a level concrete pad.

The stabilizer jacks are for stabilizing the TT when it is being used- if you are not using it when storing it then do not retract them.
My TT is stored in my driveay year round and I never use the stabilizer jacks, even when we are using it when guests stay overnight.

My TT is stored in a public storage facility which has a gravel storage yard. My stabilizers are always up when stored, especially during winter storage. The potential for ground heaving do to ground frost, and/or ground settling under the tires during spring thaw wouldn't fair well with the stabs down.

I also keep the TT nose-high so rain/snow/ice drains off back of TT.

We store on a gravel pad in public storage, so I leave them up.

I store mine beside the house. unless it is used as a guest room, the stabs are up and shore power unplugged. Usually in Nov, I will blow the water lines and hot water tank with air, clean the roof, lower the tongue, put batteries in the garage, turn off the propane, and cover the trailer.

I will plug into shore power and unzip the access if I need to get into it during the winter.

I live in Western WA and it rarely gets below freezing at the house.

Ours is stored with the stabilizer jacks up. Only time they are down is when we are actually using the camper. As far as plugging it in, ours stays plugged in year round. It is usually plugged into something. Either a 110 outlet or the 7 pin on the truck.

on second thought I guess I will keep mine up as well. They likely will interfere with my Adco cover somewhat anyhow.

I leave mine up when not camping. The fewer points of intrusion for bugs, ants, rodents etc. the better. I also sprinkle a circle around my tires and tongue jack using Bayer powder multi bug ant spider etc killer. Rodents don't like the smell either.
