2015 Eagle 314 BHDS outdoor kitchen

What do folks think of the new layout of outdoor kitchen in their 2015 Jayco Eagle 314 BHDS?

For the 2015 model year Jayco has omitted the 2-burner propane stove (which I am disappointed about) and they have added a small microwave.

It looks like it is designed to mount an outdoor TV since there is a small shelf above the fridge (for a DVD/Blu-Ray player or satellite receiver) and cable/satellite ports. Also the large cabinet that spanned the upper part of the outdoor kitchen in 2014 (and which is still in 2015 JayFlight 32BHDS) has been scaled down and moved to the right side above microwave (leaving an opening for the TV in the center of the wall). But it seems that isn't such an ideal spot for a TV since it is not under the main awning where folks would be sitting.

QUESTION: How do folks like the 2015 changes to outdoor kitchen layout in Eagle 314 unit? Has anyone mounted a TV on the outdoor kitchen wall between fridge and cabinet? If so, is it a good setup for a large group or is it mainly just for Dad while he's flipping burgers and grilling steaks?

Many thanks!

Anyone out there with 2015 Eagle 314 BHDS care to comment on the layout of the outdoor kitchen? Likes/dislikes?

I have the 2015 32BHDS but looked at the 31 when shopping around. I did not like the layout of the outdoor kitchen, especially with the microwave replacing the stove. That was one of the biggest factors for us getting the 32. That stove comes in very handy. My dealer also threw in the outdoor grill for me too, which makes it very convienent when cooking outside.

Mike,

I agree 100%. The 2015 Jayflight 32BHDS has the ideal outdoor kitchen layout. The 2014 Eagle 314 BHS has this same layout. We really like the Climate Shield on the Eagle and the curved rooftop.

How are you liking your Jayflight 32BHDS? What options did you go with? We like the Elite and Thermal packages. We also would go with 50-amp, 15000 BTU upgraded A/C and add the second 13500 BTU in front bedroom. Gets hot here in Texas!

Thanks,
Dave

We recently bought a Jayco Eagle 375BHFS. Don't miss the outdoor stove since we have a bumper mount grill that we use mostly. Like the TV in the kitchen as the rear is usually closer to the fire pit so you can watch tv and have a campfire. Have only had this for about a month but loving it so far. The ACI auto level system is the nuts.

Dave,

We got the thermal and elite packages, but didnt get the upgrade to the 50 amp (should have) but the wait was longer than we wanted. We're in Northern NY and with the exception of a few weeks during the summer, the temps are pretty good. We're very happy with it so far. Had it out a few times and going again over the Columbus weekend. Theres a few sites up here that are open year round and we may hold off on winterizing and camp over Thanksgiving weekend.
