All depends on where you camp and the temps you camp in. I am in Canada and like to camp in all 4 seasons so to me it was worth the extra $.

The extra insulation helps to keep the inside cooler as well when you run the AC. We got it for that reason, it works well for us in Florida

Very little money for the package so even if it helps a little its worth it. Only wish Jayco would take the time to seal up the penetrations for the gas, plumbing, and electrical. I haven't opened up the whole under cover, but found 2 holes that I could shove a broom handle thru where elec line entered the floor under the storage compartment.

Glacier Package

What is included in the glacier package? Is it just extra insulation?

Believe it's a little more insulation in the roof and floors and an enclosed underbelly. The tanks may have some insulation around them too, but I'm not positive. As others have noted, the package it short money and IMO worth it.

It is well worth the $$$. It will help keep the rv cooler in the summer as well as warmer in the cool seasons.. and it will help with noise from outside as well..

The Jayco site shows a price of $517 for the 2015 White Hawk series.

I would think one of the other items included in the Glacier Package would be the flow of heat from the furnace to the underbelly. Little hard to do that with no covering but with the undercover, venting some air to the underbelly seems to work well for cooler weather camping.
