Looking at 2014 eagle 314bhds

Howdy! Anyone own this model or similar? Looking for any reviews out there. How is build quality? Any gotchas to look out for? This is a 2014 new still on the lot so hoping for a good if not great deal. I've read several posts on here and sounds like the new jaycos are good.

Any info would be great thank you.

I would find out what's different between 2014 and 2015. Maybe nothing but on my 2015 I got the high gloss sides for the same price I was fixing to pay for a 2014. You can expect a 30-40 percent off msrp on both. Unless factory offering rebates on 2014 I'm guessing the price will be close and down the road a 2015 will be worth more than a 2014 for resale.

Ive only had the Eagle Premier and I'm happy. I have the 4 season package and will never buy another without it. It's great. So besides making sure you get the 4 season package I think you will be happy.
All the appliances are universal to all other RVs. Jayco has better warranty. Jayco builds from starter units to full time.
You always get what you pay for.

I have a 2015 314BHDS Eagle Premier and I love it, We wanted the upgraded interior(leather and better color shades) rather than the stiff material they used in the plain model.I have used it on 5 trips since sept of this year and spent 35 days in it away from home for work an had no issues at all other than my heater isn't working properly. There has been minor issues with jayco not wanting to screw things in all the way or not adding screws at all to things but they were all easy fixes. It is very roomy for me and my family. The bunk room is great for kids except it doesn't fit a very big t.v.Not sure what options your looking for but the skylights in kitchen and over the table when slide is out is a great option also. I do wish they puta cooktop outside rather than a microwave but we make due with it.Overall it is a great model and trailer to us,I recommend it.I kind of rambled on about it but any questions I can try to help as much as possible

Hello again, what do you all have for Air Conditioners in your campers? I started this journey simply looking at campers with the 15K AC and have found several around with the second AC in the bedroom.

On hand if the Eagle line of campers is what they say they are and the AC's being brand new I would think the 15K size AC would suit just fine.

I think the second AC would be a really nice option and in my opinion if financing for ever any way.... why not have it.

So what are people's thoughts and experiences with either the 1 or two AC campers?

thanks once again!

We have 1 ac unit and it works fine. But we are in Michigan. I'm sure it makes a difference in what your weather is like.

I have 1 AC unit and it works fine for me,plus you can zone it.If your hanging out watching tv you can open vents wide in kitchen area. When you go to sleep if it's warm in the bedrooms you can close off kitchen area and send it all to bedrooms.I am usually hot all the time and run my home AC from April til Nov,and the AC unit in the trailer kept me nice and cool. However the bedroom is already fitted with everything for a second AC unit if you chose but as of now I see no point for it

I see you were also looking at the Triple Slide bunk house,we also looked at it but having the second door for the bathroom was a must for us,plus the bathroom seemed to have more legroom than the TS.The bunk set up is a little nicer but ours worked great for my kids and 2 friends to hang out in.I liked not having a slideout on the side we hang out also,1 less thing to have to walk around

Thanks Merril and BHDS.

So the both of you have the one AC and are doing fine. I didn't finish my thought before about the Eagle build but I am sure it is way better than my 2008 camper with only the 13500 AC in it. New build, way better insulated, new AC should equate to a way better system all together. We camped on 4th of July this last summer in Nebraska and with 4 kids in and out the AC seemed to slip a few degrees during the day. So again my camper versus a new Eagle should see a huge difference.

I have not seen any campers local to me in Nebraska with a second AC already in them but several on the East coast and South where heat is more of a factor.
Thanks for the responses, 1 AC and is available here may save me some cash too which is good.

we have the 338 rets and I did have the prep for 2nd a/c standard but we figured we would go with just one .... after this first summer in it I think I am going to go on and have the bedroom one installed, ... first reason is because the one runs quite a bit to keep it cool, the second is because even though at night we close the vents off in the living area the kids say they still freeze out there and our room is just cool. I found a complete unit new on one websight for 495 dollars with the inner vent assy included and the dealer said they would install it for 1 hour labor so it still ends up cheaper than we would have paid for the 2nd a/c option on our order of the unit

Thanks Paint! The two I am of course looking at are not setup for 50 AMP or the second AC. All of the others outside of my area are.
