Iota distribution panel and transfer switch

I'm installing more batteries and an inverter/charger in my 2005 24SS, but I can't find any details on the Iota IDP-30 Distribution Panel or the Iota ITS-30R Transfer Switch. Can anyone tell me where I can get the manuals, descriptions, drawings, anything on these two items? Iota no longer has the information on their website.

I'm not sure about the distribution panel, but IOTA is no longer in the transfer switch business. They had major problems with their 50A units a few years back and exited this business. There was a recall on the 50A switches. I had one that burned before the recall.

I had a problem with a burned out Iota 30 amp switch last year and replaced it with a different brand. Don't think you can buy a new Iota transfer switch anymore, so finding any manuals etc would be very difficult at least for the transfer switch. You might try ebay and see if some of the sellers on there could help you out with manuals.

I have a Iota IDP-30 DP in my '08 GH31ss. Is this something that should be changed out. I did not receive any literature on this when I bought the unit and now researching the features/functions of the MH. Would anyone know if Jayco put the smart charger (IQ4) in standard on these, or always an option. I've used the MH one trip when we got it, and no problems with the power that trip.

Since it's an IOTA spec'd by Jayco, I would say no. But, on some of the IOTA's supplied by Jayco there may be a dual voltage jack on the back/side of the IOTA so that you could plug in a IQ4 controller.

The 30's were in the recall as well.

I not aware of any reason to change out the Iota IDP-30. Because my wiring changes will be substantial, I wanted information on all the affected electrical components. Just upgrading from one to three batteries raised questions I still need to answer before consider that job complete.

After I bought my 24SS last year, I added an IQ4 to the Iota DLS-45. It's definitely an improvement in charging speed, so I think it's been worth the $25. Of course, the DLS-45 comes out (as will the Xantrex 400W inverter) when the inverter/charger goes in, so I'll have some items for sale. It will likely be the end of August before I get it all done, however.

The manuals aren't on the Iota website, so I called Iota, and one of their engineers emailed me the IDP-30 and ITS-30R manuals.

Guess I should contact Iota and see what they say about replacing it or if there was a recall on the IDP-30. GL with your upgrades.

I called Iota today, and the IDP-30 distribution panel was not included in the recall, just the transfer switch(s), so I'm good on that issue. Now just gotta get a IQ4 and plug it in.
