Wow! This turned out to be a very well balanced discussion!

I've always been a GM guy, but with the new Ram 2500s with the 6.4L, I'm leaning hard toward that one. I wish GM would update the 6.0, or maybe use the 6.2 (tuned right for heavy duty service). But I agree that all three are great trucks, and I'll end up with the one that fits the budget and has the features I want at the time of purchase.

I agree with get the best deal you can get from the best dealer around. My local Ford Dealer treats me great. I bring my truck in for service and I can wait watching a big screen TV and grab something to eat made fresh from their little snack bar area with a free coffee or they will drive me to work or home and pick me up when the truck is ready.

I got a very good deal on my truck as it was a 13 with a lot of 14 on the lot.

I do not tow with my current truck so I can not offer any feedback on that part of the debate.

In my climate, MI, and being that I fall into the severe use category for my 6.7 Powerstroke, I use Shell Rotella T6 5w-40. There is a lot of debate on which brand is best on the diesel forums but everyone is unanimously very happy with this product.

I agree they are all good trucks. I've been a Dodge guy for years but that is due to the Cummins and a great dealer. In reality they all work well, tow a whole bunch, look good, and cost more than my first house.

Buy the one that you like, is a good deal, and mom agrees with.
