Sagging bed platform.

Hi All,

We have a 06 23FB with a queen we bought used.
We replaced the mattress and it's fine but the platform sags in the center so we kinda roll into each other.
It's basically 2 pieces of 3/8" or 1/2" plywood cut in half the short way and joined together with what I think are 3 1x2's running the length of the platform.

My thoughts are to replace the 1x2's with either aluminum angles to save some weight or angle iron I'm thinking that should bring things back to level.

I would like your input on my idea or I'm open to other ideas as well.

Thank you for reading...

I think you would have to run the new supports side to side instead of head to foot. But you still may have to have support from head to foot. We have the same problem. For now, I've placed a 6x6 in the middle under the bed supports.
