Shocked.. Literally

Something is amiss..intermittent problems with 31 BHS electrical. Replaced 30 amp plug, no power to trailer. Plugged into 15 amp circuit no power. Removed ground plug, power comes on. But now we get zapped.
No ideas where to even start looking..

Removed the ground prong? No wonder why you got shocked. Sounds like a hot is going to ground
With the ground hooked up does a breaker or fuse should be tripped or the gfi is tripping when you plug it in. Sounds unsafe. unplug and have a qualified person look at it.

Devil Dog, I am wondering, from your previous post, if when you replaced the shore power cord maybe something is shorted. Have you double checked your previous work? Where are you located? Maybe someone here can recommend a repair facility.

Be sure the repair guy knows that the RV wiring is tad different than regular house wiring. Use this chart for your 30AMP wiring check. Make sure the readings shown here can be duplicated between the ground and neutral readings...

This is typical camp ground PEDESTAL wiring setup...

This is what you read when measuring around the 30AMP/15AMP/20AMP Pedestal receptacle.

Then also use a standard CIRCUIT TESTER plugged into the 30AMP Receptacle using an RV30A-15A Adapter (WALMART). Use this chart for proper lights reading.

If the repairman cannot duplicate these readings then DO NOT power up your trailer using the shore power from that pedestal setup.

Just my thoughts
