I couldn't believe the wheels on my new 32TSBH! They would do any vehicle justice. My last TT had those plain white slotted ones that start to rust. Any ways, what do you put on the wheels to keep them looking nice and to protect them from the elements? Mine is stored at the CG so actual wheel covers are out of the question. I thought about a thin coat of oil, but I am sure someone probably has a better answer.
The best bet would be to use a good automotive wax it's alot better then the idea of using motor oil which could interact with the clearcoat and cause staining.

Unfortunately I still have those plain white slotted ones. I just wire brush and touch up the spots that are beginning to show rust. I did add some genuine imitation chrome plastic hub caps though.

on my old boat trailer I put the white painted wheels and dunked them all the time in salt water. I sprayed them with clear coat in a spray can and was extreamly impressed with how they held up over the years. I dont know if i'd spray your alum wheels but a good wax should help keep them looking new.
