Yeah it seemed to be pretty good to me as well.

Once I get there I will have to see what they include in the "prep" for certain. I know they fill the propane tanks and add a new marine battery, unsure about hoses, adapters, etc.

That remains to be seen, still not too bad overall though without anything else included.

My dealer also adds some "anti-theft" to the trailer, by etching the windows.

Propane tanks filled, battery as well. Spare tire cover (with their logo, so that doesn't really count)

I'm a guy that researches the heck out of every purchase over $150 and I did extensive research on this as well. For the money and towablity the 28DSBH is a fantastic trailer. The front storage compartment is the largest that is offered with this floor plan. The outside fridge comes in handy for adult beverages and water. The ONLY thing I don't like about this trailer, I wish it had a front cap. By the way we have a 2014 28DSBH and we went on 1200 mile, one week trip this June to the Blackhills and had a great time. I've gone to many other websites and RV shows and I can't find anything we'd rather have.

Also did a 2000-mile (from Manitoba) trip to Black Hills this summer in ours and had a blast. Excellent floor plan, nice big bunks for the kids, nice to tow. My family wanted to live in it all summer!

I suppose this is pretty decent considering the MSRP is 31500 - 22450 (total cost out the door) = 9050. That is about 29% off MSRP out the door or 33% off MSRP before taxes and tags etc.

--After looking online for an hour or so this seems about like the best deal going that I can find even online dealers that are several hours or states away from me.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks
That sounds like a very fair deal, however get it in writing/email before making the drive. I had a verbal offer from a dealer a couple years back before purchasing out first trailer, after driving 100 miles to see it and buy it they had a differnt deal in mind. Made me so mad I left to never come back. They lost a customer and a sale over $500.

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me too. Tell the dealer to throw in the chocks and a nice camping mat and he can wrap it up for ya.

But like Clubhouse says, make sure he is willing to put it in writing or do as I did:

go to the bank first and get a bank draft/certified cheque for the agreed upon amount. That pretty much makes it a "take it or leave it" deal and few salesmen will be able to walk away from a cheque staring them in the face! my dealer never tried to add on any last minute fees, but i'd have been willing to walk if he did.

delamination

Sorry we have ours since May 2014 and we already have a delamination problem on the upper right front pannel.

We just bought our 2014 White hawk this month, took it out with our 3 granddaughters and had a great time ( it rained for 1/2 of the trip) roomy. I made my own ladder and change bathroom tap. We love it handled very well towing. Still working out the kinks but a two thumbs up. No major problems

Sorry you're having this delam issue. This has been and is my biggest concern. So far so good but I do check the roof and seams regularly. Hopefully you took it to a good Jayco dealer and they will make it right.

I Literally just bought a new 28 DHBS last weekend, and took it out. Were going out again this weekend, and I can't wait. Best Trailers EVER!

We love ours. It's a great floor plan for our family plus a guest or two.

Enjoy!

Sorry to hear that you guys are having problems already. Do you have any idea what might be causing it? Roof seal, leaking light, etc... I assume it should be covered under the 2 year warranty if you have just purchased it not too long ago.

By chance can you upload a few pictures of the problem area so the rest of us can beware possibly?

Thanks

Glad to hear mostly everyone is liking theirs. We actually just picked ours up last weekend, have only set it up in the driveway but so far so good.

For some reason I only get email notifications every once and awhile from this thread so I am a little behind. Please keep the messages coming both good and bad.

I have the WhiteHawk 30DSBH, and besides it being a 'big fricken trailer', I love this thing. Tows great with my Ecoboost, and the wife love the huge slide out. I actually wanted something a little smaller, but I am getting use to it.

Oh yeah...and I too research the heck out of everything, and I managed to get 31% off sticker. We originally were looking at the JayFlight 28BHBE, and ended up with a White Hawk for less then the sticker of the JayFlight. Sweet!

We have a 29REKS and absolutely love it. Picked it up in May this year and have about 5,000 miles and 30 nights in her already, with several more to go before the season is over. Only a couple of minor issues (e.g. broken shade) that should be covered by warranty.

We actually had some issues on out first trip (I started another thread) with one of the seals on the back of the camper falling off.

Took it to a local dealer, who did not fix it how I thought it should be done, so I did it myself. Other than that things have been all good so far.

Planning our second weekend in it for early October.
