Moving-Storage questions

So I'm 4+ weeks away from selling my home. The thing is, I don't have my new house yet. To bridge the 4 month gap we're bunking at my in-laws. Regarding my 26BH:

1) I have reserved a storage unit. Thinking about storing the TT as well. What is a fair price to pay for outside storage? I would expect a discount due to the fact that I'm renting a unit, but maybe that's not realistic?

2) My in-laws have offered to let me park the TT in their side yard in grass. I'm concerned about parking the TT on grass for the long New England winter. Anybody do this/have any advice to offer? Surely can't beat the price.

3) Any other wisdom or living with your in-laws humor would be appreciated.

Take the offer from the in-laws. Lay some 2 x 8 wood plank down and park your trailer on that. Skirt the TT and live in it. After 3 weeks living with in-laws every one likes their own privacy. Good Luck!

If you decide for outside storage, I can tell you we pay $1.50 per day for the days it is in storage. Since it is really winter-like right now for us, that would be about $45 a month. If you want to research the cost a little, there was a big chat here on the JOF about a month or so ago. I'm sure you can search "storage" and find it real fast. The prices varied a lot because some was inside and others were outside. Good luck!

I would go the route that ALJo suggests. You would save money on storage and give you a place to escape from the in-laws.
