Accessories questions

Fianlly pulled the trigger on a 2011 Jayco Eagle superlite 30.5DBSA. Couple of accessory questions, do you recommend a tripod for the front? Also what about the between tire chocks(cant remember name right now)? For hills if you put this between tires to unload, does it bind things when leveling?
Used just small chocks on our TT.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have never used a tripod on any of my 5th Ws. Some people swear by them. As far as the chocks go I throw a chock in the front and in the back of the tires level the trailer then put the chock between the tires.

We had a tripod on our last Eagle 5th Wheel, worked ok but now have the locking stabilizer arms on the front landing gear, they work great, they take up no storage space and since we only needed the front landing gear, price was not too bad.

I have one and rarely use it. The front is usually too low to accomaodate it after we level the trailer. I can't tell a significant difference when I do use it.

Look into a set of Roto choks. I have a set and they are the best. Never felt the need to carry a tripod.
