That movie is starting to be played just as much on TV as the Christmas Story. Good movie none the less.

Actually, since TBS got their hands on Christmas Story, it almost NEVER gets played, except for the 24 hour marathon on just one day.

I appreciated when it used to play many times on many channels.
But I do like Christmas Vacation too!

In the past I've been there and done that. But now that my in-laws are in their 90's I wish they'd come by with their AR-VEES one more time.

Good thing I bought my own copy years ago. We can watch it anytime we want. Sometimes we even watch it outside of the Christmas season. It's so silly...

I'm surprised no one has mention the other RV scene in this movie. The part where Eddie is out in his short short robe announcing to the neighbors...Merry Christmas!, shi@@er is full! All while sucking down a Meister brau. I piss myself laughing every time I watch this movie. The funny part is the more I watch it, I can find other details in the scene I missed.

Ellen: What are you looking at?
Clark: Oh, the silent majesty of a winter's morn... the clean, cool chill of the holiday air... an ******* in his bathrobe, emptying a chemical toilet into my sewer...
Eddie: Merry Christmas! Sh!tter was full!

I could watch this movie 20 times straight or more! DW hates it because I have a bad habit of laughing at the parts I find most funny before they even happen! And she hates that I "quote along" with it constantly!

I have to dig the DVD out some time during the summer because I just can't make it the whole year! Sad, I know...

I have a long running Christmas tradition. I get together with a bunch of highschool friends for our annual Holiday Film Fest, we have been doing this since Christmas vacation has been on Video. The small group has grown into quit a large family. We watch the Grinch, Christmas Vacation, and top it off with Harlem Nights. Been doing this for near 25 years. It is a great tradition.

I just discovered the set on Amazon! It has the original Vacation, Vegas Vacation and European Vacation! It'll be here next week, only $8.66! Add that to Christmas Vacation and my collection is complete!
