New to Forum- Jayco Eagle Select

I had just purchased a new (used) 2005 12' HW, this winter. After some backyard outings, I am still having trouble figuring out most of the components. Mostly, I was concerned with the DC power. I purchased and installed a new deep cycle battery, only to discover a bad 30amp fuse. After replacing the fuse, I still do not have any power to lights. My onboard voltage meter is reading. Is there a switch or something that has to be flipped to switch from AC to DC? Also, (this is a loaded question) what can I expect to get from running off the battery alone? We stay at parks, but most camping is stand alone with no utilities provided.

Thanks

I've dry camped, or boondocked, almost everywhere I've been. I have a standard deep cycle battery, haven't ever run out of power but I only use the outdoor light, overhead light for story time, the water pump, and maybe charge my cell phone. Longest stay was at the beach for 4 days.

There's a switch that disables the lights if the lid is fully closed, on mine it's on the back left corner. If the switch is stuck / not connected, no interior lights for you.

Thanks. I plan most of my trips without any hookups, so this will be useful. We are heading to a park this weekend, so I'll be able to check out the disabling switch.

Thanks Again

I just read your thread, I have the same trailer, just one year older. Did you get your lights running? What was the solution?
