Angry Precept recall

Just got a recall notification for our Precept. Says the power seats could be a fire hazard. Says the dealer needs to reroute wiring and lower fuse size from 20 amp to 10 amp.

Thanks Jacobsnc. We have not received anything but taking Bertha to dealer for some minor warranty work Tuesday. I will make an inquiry.
Once while rotating the passenger's seat the wire became tangled and was unplugged. Didn't throw a fuse though.
Keep us posted on.

Second day out on our first trip. No hot water. Good old tankless heater. Tried everything the book says. Worked fine before we left. Also large bolt laying on front jack pad. Couldn't see where it came from. Far too many issues.

Hey Jacobsnc, Are you getting your issues resolved? Any new issues come up? Trying to get feedback on the Precept and any issues folks are having. Thanks......Joe

Hey Joe, messed with heater all evening, no luck. This am started getting hot water. Go figure. Love the unit, dealer pre was mill. Drives good. Wheel base a little short. Very windy yesterday, was a handful to drive. Wish it was a tad bigger. Better quality then some we looked at, but their still not built with good materials and workmanship leaves something to be desired.

Thanks...I like the 31ul floorplan better than the 35un, but the 35 has the bigger wheelbase and so much more storage...hard decision

Just got parked after a day from hell. Left front jack blew a line, hydraulic oil all over, got other jacks up. Brought in living room slide and it bound up and damaged sink area and cabinets. Got that in finally and to top it off, generator stopped running in Georgia. Got pretty warm in coach. Needless to say our first trip out is the ultimate nightmare.

Wow Jacobsnc............really sorry. That's a laundry list no one should have to deal with. Sure hope you have some resolution in quick order.

Joe, I think if I had it to do over, I would go with the longer wheelbase and larger wheels. Not familiar with other floor plans. You do have to chase the 31ul some in windy conditions and truck traffic.

After the last three days of major troubles I have a bad case of buyers remorse.

Yup that's where I am right now. I like the 31 floor plan better, but the larger wheelbase of the 35 plus double the storage possibilities is making it difficult to decide.

Delivered Bertha to my dealer for warranty items. Inquired about this recall.
The recall DOES include Bertha so the recall kit was ordered today and should be in in about a week.

Just looked at 1 at RVONE with a damaged kitchen cabinet. Maybe a problem with this design

Well the shopping is over...Signed for the 35UP yesterday...should be in my driveway in 2 weeks. Have a laundry list of punch items that need fixing first though, starting with the front seats.

Congratulations. We are taking our first trip tomorrow with our 35 UN. So far haven't found anything needing attention. Will let you know. Glad we got rid of the lemon 31UL.
