My Skylark is definitely affected. In mid March, just as soon as I received the recall notice I attempted to call Fastec\WESCO at the number listed on the recall letter (800-837-2505) with no success. I also attempted to register on their website; again no success. Finally I successfully registered for replacement parts on 03/30/14 -- haven't heard anything yet and it is now past mid-April.

Still no receipt of new hardware from Fastec\WESCO ...... any others with same problem? Me thinks maybe Jayco needs to step in. I am certainly not pleased with the handling of this recall.

Well now we're really in a pickle. Back door lock was jammed before we knew of the recall. Got the recall notice and I applied through the website immediately - the auto reply from Fastec is dated March 3rd. I've have sent follow up emails which have gone unanswered. I called and left messages and no response to those either. We haven't had any trouble with the front door lock. But our luck has run out.

We had a friend offer to tow and park the trailer today (seasonal campsite - two hour drive - we had to work this weekend and so we jumped at the offer to get the trailer in our spot! His trailer was already parked. Campers are amazing people, eh?!)

Just had a text message from him...now the front lock is jammed too and the key is actually stuck in it. I called the dealer for some advice and the service guy told me they've drilled a lock but that we could try to get in through the back hatch under the bottom bunk. Hope our skinny, tall 13 year old is up for that. At least if he can fit in there he can take the latch assembly off to get at the lock and we won't have to drill and (possibly) damage the door.

To be continued...

From the Fastec website:

I am submitting my complaint today.

I signed up to get a replacement lock too. Haven't received it yet. That was several months ago. Anybody know what is going on?

Update...I received an email from Fastec yesterday!
We are currently working on February the 18th orders for the recall. Due to the volume of orders we have fallen behind on getting orders out. Thank you for your patience with us during this time.

And in other news, my husband was able to solve the friend-got-the-key-stuck-in-the-lock ordeal. It's a long story and I'll spare you the details. Let's just say "use the right key" and "back off on the torque."

I just got my replacement kit today! I submitted my request in March. I am leaving for Branson, Missouri this weekend so hopefully I can get it done before I go.

I got the locks installed this morning. It was very easy. It kinda makes me wonder how secure the locks are when you can remove the lock assemblies so easily.

March registration for new parts. Still no receipt of new hardware from Fastec\WESCO. I think that maybe Jayco needs to step in. I am certainly not pleased with the handling of this recall – no replacement parts from Fastec and Jayco seems to totally have a “hands off” policy.

Still have not received my lock parts for this recall, which I ordered in March. Just called FasTec and supposedly I am on the ASAP list now. We will see...

LLCRVING; What model is this recall for, please? Just go to the Fastec website and it tell you which series and you can verify this with your key number. Seems like their service is not fast.....

My replacement lock came today. Talk about speedy service, sheesh. Camper is already winterized. If the weather permits, I might try to put it in this weekend.
