Andersen Hitches - anyone own one?

I couldn't find any posts out there from any owners of an Andersen hitch setup. Are there any of you out there who might own one or have some input on these hitches? I have seen plenty of opinions from people who own a Reese dual-cam, Equalizer, Hensley, or Husky but nothing from Andersen owners that I could find.

I have an Anderson WD hitch. It is easy to hook up and disconnect. It works well if you have decent tongue weight. If you are light on tongue weight that reduces the effective sway control. With normal TT you should have no problems.

I purchased an Anderson for our 2014 281BHS.
After a few trips out I now have a Blue Ox installed. I think the Anderson has its place but it is not on a trailer of that size or tongue weight.
Sway control is similar between the two but the hookup is much easier with the Blue Ox and the ride is much nicer. Everything felt very rigid with the Anderson and all the trailer bumps and jolts were transferred into the TV with the Anderson.
I would recommend a traditional hitch like the Equalizer, Reese, or Blue Ox......

The Anderson would probably work great on a smaller and lighter trailer and depending on the need for 100% weight restoration vs 50% ect... It does not redistribute enough weight back to the front axle which is ultimately why I wanted to try something else.

Not sure if it is bad form to bring old threads back to life after 3 months but I towed my former trailer from Seattle to Michigan and back last summer with an Andersen hitch and it was by far the best hitch I have owned. (Have owned Reese Dual-cam, EZ Lift, Husky, Drawtite).

The Andersen is very easy to install, did it myself and and I am about as incompetent at mechanical things as anyone can get. Easy to hitch up and go and weighs a lot less than traditional hitches. My hitch will be moving soon to the new 20MRB we just purchased.

I have have now used the hitch several times. I really like it. So simple too use. I have a fairly heavy trailer, but I spent some time in Idaho Falls Idaho with the owner. The only issue that the hitch has had was on really big trailers. They have made the little springs harder which throws more weight foward. It may not throw as much weight as some of the other wdh but with all the other benefits it is hard to beat, it really does what they say it will.

I use the Anderson with a 32BHDS and thinking of going with an Equalizer. It does a fair job with passing rigs but is a white knuckle trip in wind. I'm thinking it's not for long and heavy TT.

JMO but after reading about it and also having one I will say it's better suited for light TW on 1/2 tons and if using a 3/4 ton and up then you can get away with heavier TW's. Less weight needs to be transferred on the 3/4 ton since it's heavier up front you get less lift. A diesel up front really helps. I used it with my 12 CTD and it worked great with the 900lb TW. No way would it work with my F150. I used an EQ 1200 with that truck and had 6 washers in the head along with SuperSprings on the rear. You just can't transfer enough weight with a heavy tongue and a 1/2 ton.
