Question Seneca microwave vent I think

There is a vent (looks like)a vent hole, has two tabs and a flat cover as well as what appears to be a rain hood. Question is how do you get it open? Any one know? It is 2015 Seneca HJ. Thanks

If it is for the micro/range hood, move the two tabs to the vertical position and then whent the fan is on it should open.

On my 264bh you have to pry them up, and it does feel like they are going to snap but they haven't so far

Thanks to all. They did snap up in the end. The cover was seriously stuck closed but managed to pry open without breaking. Thanks again

The vent cover fastener on the Seneca's IS a "snap type" cover, that does REQUIRE some "umph" to get them to open (along with a ladder to reach them!!). You will NOT break them. These are NOT the "twist" type fasteners that older rigs have that do need tightening. You can LEAVE THEM OPEN when traveling; however, make sure you close them if you store your rig for a while (you do NOT want spiders, etc... making a home in there!). They are hinged at the top and with the rain cover, they don't "flap in the wind" as you're driving.

Just found this thread as I was trying to figure it out myself. And YES they feel like they want to break. I will give it a try tomorrow.
