Ours seems to be a totally different size so doesn't work.

Oh ya we know. We just bought it on Saturday so really just discovered the problem on Monday after using it and realizing something wasn't right. I've talked to the dealer and I think they are going to ship us out a new one. We looked at the jack tonight and near the top of the metal leg it's super rough and all scraped up so I think this may be a case of a cheaply made in China jack that isn't smooth inside so the leg catches and runs the thing down quickly and draws too much power.
It's actually blown its second fuse from us testing it out. Sigh.
