stress cracks on front cap

I would have sworn I posted this yesterday, but the subject line was way too long, so it probably got trashed. You'd think a moderator would let me know so I could ask my question again!

Well, here goes. I have a Designer 36RLTS with some sculpting in the front cap. There are two wide "v's" near the middle of the cap, and at each end of the top one, there are some cracks in the fiberglass. I'm wondering if this is common and should I be worried? I don't think any water can get through, but with the wind of towing in the rain, who knows? I have some stuff that is supposed to be applied out of sun light, but I haven't used it yet, because I don't know what kind of surface it will leave, and how to smooth it out. I don't have much in the way of a "hidden" area to test it in. Any ideas?

I checked our system and there wasn't any Moderator delete-action taken against this or a similar subject thread/post in the last few days.

I don't have a lot of fiberglass-repair experience so I hope someone who does comes along and gets specific about your issue. I had a 2005 SOB that had similar cracks around the rear ladder supports. I kept an eye on them and they never grew (and never leaked) so I just inspected them from time-to-time. My experience probably doesn't help you much though.

Thanks for replies, all. I have some fiberglass repair stuff I found in a small bottle. I think I will try that. One glitch with that is it uses UV to harden and its hard to do work outside on the front cap of an RV where there is no UV. Wonder what the working time is?
