33BHBS Bunk Beds

We have another month to wait for the delivery of our TT. The DW was trying to figure out what size of sheets to get for the bunk beds. I just said sleeping bags for the bunks. She gave me "the look" after that suggestion. So, if you have this unit, what size did you find works best?

Our White Hawk has the queen-short and two 3/4 full bunks. [1] For all 3 we purchased Amazon's "Elegant Comfort 1500 Thread Count Wrinkle Resistant Egyptian Quality Ultra Soft Luxurious 4-Piece Bed Sheet Set" size: 1 QUEEN and 2 FULL ~ reasonably priced, great colors, and fit well thanks to the elastic around bottom sheet; [2] consider a good top/bottom protector like Camping World's "All-In-One Mattress Protector and Fitted Sheet"; [3] and finally invest in decent padded mattress pads. If we decide on a topper for the queen, I think I'll go for the Costco "Novaform ComfortLuxe Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper".

Look at the floor plan for the White Hawk 25BHS, a selling point was that when the slide is out, you can access the queen short (74" length) bed from BOTH sides; this meant we didn't need that pictured squeeze-space at the end of the bed. So ... we pushed our mattress up against the back of the entertainment center and added a foam strip at the head of the bed - making the bed the length of a normal queen (80" length) AND we use that extra storage space to stow (hide) our computer backpacks! The second selling point was the outdoor kitchen - so we're in 'hog heaven'!

Bunks up front are both double beds (Full size sheets). Rear bedroom is a queen size mattress. Front bunks are OK for the kids but I highly recommend a mattress topper for the queen bed.

Congrats on the new trailer.

Speaking of bunk beds, I wish Jayco would make the top bunk removable. They could install a heavy duty trim strip around the walls and a two-piece platform that stores on top of the lower bunk platform. The top mattress could also be stored on top of the lower bunk mattress. That would make a "roomier" space for an adult or couple but could easily be converted back to bunk beds for children.

I may consider doing this after the warranty expires.

Another recommendation is to get one of those hanging fabric cubes that go on in your wardrobe. We bought one at bed bath and beyond and separated the doubled sections to make 2. We used one up front and one in back for some extra folded clothes storage. You just need to be careful to only cut the stitches that keep the 2 units together. Hard to describe but it is supposed to be double wide or double long bot if you separate them you get 2 short hanging cubbies. They attach by velcro over the clothes rod.

Just saw on an online walk through there is a "secret compartment " in the trailer we never knew about. Let me know if the dealer shows it to you during the walk through. I've got to check our trailer to see if it was a late add. You'll have to send me a private message or it won't be a secret anymore :-)

We also just purchased our 33bhbs and we decided to just use queen sheets throughout rather than muck about with different sizes, that way we can interchange with each bed. we also bought lovely silk duvets from Costco and they are light, machine washable and warmmmmm

I like your idea. I was hoping they would have continued the choice of having either a single upper bunk or double bed upper bunk. We will just use the upper for storage and the single bed would make it much easier to get in & out of the lower bunk for us older tall folks. I also like the idea of another small wardrobe in the back.
