Confused...with all these "hates", why the purchase?

Well, Bucko...they just don't let you take those things out for a trial run before you buy. Seems like they built it but never camped in it. We looked at a Lance equivalent today, all these things had been addressed in it. We think the Jayco is lovely, as we did on the lot, but actually using it brought these issues to the fore front. Will probably wait til the warranty is up and buy that Lance. Getting ready to "full time" it and want to be comfortable. But thanks for the question.

I've owned many different camping trailers over the years. Many different brands, sizes and configurations. Not one of them fit our likes and needs 'perfectly', but they were close enough. Always bought something that fit as close as possible and modified things to our liking. That's part of the fun for me....tinkering.

When it comes to brands and models, I can't speak for the high end luxury products...but when it comes to brands like Palomino, Keystone, Jayco and such...they are very similar products. I bought every trailer I've owned brand new and every brand had fit and finish problems, things that didn't work properly or some sort of defect. QC'ing could be stepped up at every manufacturer IMHO.
All in all...I've always been quite satisfied in the end. I end up fixing what I can and drag it to the dealer if its something major.

Well Toothferry, I'm just as confused like Bucko. Did you buy " sight unseen"? If you played full time for just 30 minutes you should have seen all these things. The lighting is to harsh, you never sat down at the dining room table? If you did then the first time you sat down your legs would have hit. No easy reach light switch in the bedroom then just buy the clapper. Mirror to high then just lower it, just 4 screws holding it in.
You can make all these minor changes yourself but don't blame Jayco for things you should have looked at before you put your money down.
