radio controls

New to Jayco and I'm sitting in Florida with my Octane 26Y with a question. Found out today that my outside speakers are on. I can't find a way to turn them off. Help.

Bill

If you have the Jensen head model that has a,b,c speaker buttons on it then push C and the speakers will turn off.

Sorry, should have added that. My head is a Sony with a remote. Haven't had any luck trying to figure it out, the book makes no mention, and the SONY paperwork doesn't say either.

Is that a factory installed head unit? See if the fader or balance does anything if so equipped.

Along that line, I've got a factory installed Jensen stereo and that infernal BEEP every time you change the radio station goes through to the outside speakers even when they are turned off, and the loudness of the beep is not controlled by the volume. Does anyone have a fix for that?

Generally speaking, the inside speakers will be on either the front or rear channel, and the outside speakers will be on the opposite channel. Find the front/rear fade setting on the stereo and figure out which one it is.

Brings back memories. First unit we had with the Jensen Radio and the three speaker buttons was a real trip. First night out watched a 2 hour movie(fortunately an old western) with John Wayne and seranaded the whole park. Next morning our next door neighbor was kind enough to let me know before I watched some of our other selections! LOL Figured out the A B C buttons real quick then and always do a double check now.

GIJOE, you called it. The fade control controls the outside speakers.

Thanks, Bill

Our Sony set up has a speaker selection switch near the Generator switch that will allow you to select inside or outside speakers.
