There seem to be 2 consumables in use. Ethanol and "service fluid". I noted in the user manual there were expected consumption rates for Ethanol but none for the "fluid". They don't recommend re-filling the fuel cell. Wouldn't have a clue where to buy ethanol in bulk anyway. Having 5 or 10 gal of ethanol in one of the storage compartments could be as safe as propane, I guess.
I think I'll have to file this in my "Snake Oil" folder.

At the Vancouver boat Show it was being promoted for sail/power boat use.

Hopefully some other JOF's will offer an opinion. I came across a Champion gas penny 2000 watt surge/1600 constant that advertises 53 db's for noise, and another dual fuel (propane/gas) Champion.

Going to be interested in what is eventually picked to be the work horse fuel cell.

I always thought a hydrogen based fuel cell would be neat. Just add water which is readily available and use only the hydrogen to provide energy for the fuel cell to operate.

I argree, Roy.
Compared to a generator, this could be a real good alternative for dry camping.
