tank monitors/solar panel

Hi All from Lake Havasu. We are in the first couple of months of using our 2015 Seneca and all seems mostly good. Tankless water heater is a bit temperamental. Now the gray water tank monitor seems to be stuck on three-quarters full. The battery, fresh water and black water monitors appear to be working properly. I have not yet crawled under the RV but any thoughts on solutions?

Also, I have not tracked down electrical outlets that are hooked to inverter (we have cabover entertainment center option). I plan to kill AC power and test outlets but any thoughts on this process?

I have just purchaced the 160 watt Zamp portable solar kit and plan to test. Anything I should be thinking of as I loosen battery cables to permanently hook pigtail to battery bank. I believe I should shut off all power (AC and DC to coach) then remove negative cable first then positive, install ring terminals then hook up positive and negative cables in that order.

The grey tank probably has gunk on the wall that is why it reads 2/3, they are never really reliable. The inverter only feeds the entertainment center and the microwave.

Any thoughts or history using the "Seelevel" tank gauges? I am about to install these on my 2007 Seneca 35GS.

This is a type of measuring system that uses circuit capacitance rather than resistance as used in normal RV tank level monitoring (3 or 4 metal pins are put in the tank sides at different heights, eventually the pins oxidize and become useless). The capacitance type sensors are used in the expensive motor homes. They are lot more accurate than the cheap resistance ones used on most RV's.

The only problem that you can encounter is if your plastic tank walls are thicker that the maximum allowed by the sensor manufacture. Check with the manufacture to see if you will be OK.

Thanks for the input! I will call the manufacturer on Monday to see if they have any history regarding the Seneca 35GS tanks.
