Link us to your favorite campground

New York, Association Island in Henderson
Now a KOA but it's an island (with a causeway for access) which is all RV and part of it is also a marina.
We love it!
Near Watertown and Syracuse on Lake Ontario

We spend several weekends a year at Jordan Lake State Park near Apex, North Carolina. Jordan Lake State Park

Reservations must be made through Reserve America

Very nice State Park. Most sites have Water and 30 Amp service. No sewer connections at any site. There are 3 separate camping areas, Cross Winds, Poplar Point and Parker's Creek. One of the three will be open year round, the other two will close for maintenance late fall/winter. Winter camping they also shut off water at individual campsites, but water is available at the shower houses. Shower houses also remain open with hot water for showers.

Went to the KOA 1000 Island/Association Island CG this past Columbus Weekend. By far one of the better places we went too. Sits right on Lake Ontario and depending on which side of the island you get a site on, you have a beautiful view of the sunrise or sunset.

Another place is Old Forge Camping Resort. Usually very crowded, but lots to do and very friendly hosts.

And lastly, Cedar Point State Park in Clayton. Sits right on the St Lawrence River. Full hookup sites are available, but most are electric only. Just a nice place, close to home, to get away for the weekend.

North Toledo Bend State Park. This is our favorite park, because we LOVE to fish. I like it because of location, it's really clean, secluded, and they actually enforce the rules.

http://www.pinegrovecampground.net/ is where we go when we don't have a lot of time to drive to a campground. Only 30 minutes away from work I have commuted in while the DW and kid stay camping.

This is likely my favourite park. http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/exp...birkenhead_lk/

The lake and mountains are amazing and the sites are so private we couldn't see any of our neighbours from our site. Downside is no services, lake is glacier fed and ice cold and the last 17 km up the road is rough.

This is my favourite close park. http://www.cultuslake.bc.ca/eat-play-at-cultus/

Kinda crowded especially on long weekends but the lake is warm , it's an hour from my house and I have lots of friends there every summer.
