Other two tires now on, spare returned to its bumper rack. My new max inflation pressure on the tires is 65 psi vs 50 psi due to the step up in load range. The Dextar site says my rims are good to 80 psi so no issues there.

Glad to hear that you're okay Crabby. Having a tire blowout is definitely one of my fears when towing. I'll probably try to avoid anything by replacing the standard issue tires on my trailer from 2011 soon. Better to be safe than sorry.

A friend that used to weigh RV's told me that the left front wheel carries more load than any of the others. He had a chart of all the rigs that he had weighed over the years. That is a general statement but something to consider when having tire problems.

Never heard that. I'm trying to apply some logic to that but can't figure out why. Not that I doubt his experience. I personally have never had any problems with front tires on my tow vehicle except once just after a tire replacement and a brake job at the same time. The brake shop told me something that I don't doubt but can't explain.

He said the front brakes do most of the stopping and that is why they wear out first.

FWIW, I got my individual corner weights from Jayco at the factory with full fuel and propane.

Left Front: 1938
Right Front: 2142

This is for a 2015 Greyhawk 29MV. I thought for sure it'd be the other way around b/c of the slide outs, but I was wrong. Guess the cabinetry and countertops on the passenger side won out.
