Unless you make a big production of it they will never know if you did it for one night... Unless Ms Busybody is your ndn.

We went to a camp ground about 30 miles from us for 3 nights with each of our trailers. No serious defect found with either.

My trailer went right from the dealer to a seasonal site....I missed a few things the first couple of times but it was no big deal....if I could have towed the beast I bought with my truck I would have driveway camped first.

When we brought ours home in 2012 my oldest was 4. He was so excited about the bunks that he wanted to sleep in it that night. He and I stayed in it in the driveway. I couldn't fully enjoy waking up in it the next morning though, had planned to cook bacon and eggs over a fire that morning. My Wife's aunt buried her Honda Accord in the mud and called my wife to see if I would pull her out. Therefore I was awoken at 7 am by my wife beating on the door to wake me up. I think we had Burger King for breakfast which just isn't the same as camping bacon.

My camp backyard rivals alot of campgrounds... As long as the county allows me to park my things at home I am going to use them.

We enjoy spending the night here - Greatest place to check out things...

Like someone above already said - the grandkids have a ball spending the night here at Gram-pa's house...

We use it as a reward for the kids. They love to sleep out; just something exciting about it and we're soaking it up while they are still of an age to enjoy it.

It is a great way to test systems too like the fridge and furnace. I'm planning to put a 30 amp hookup by he garage soon so we can really check everything out.

Just purchased my 6th trailer. In 33 years and 6 trailers, we never camped in our driveway. Our idea of camping is to get away from home and the everyday stresses of life. That's just us ...

+1, that's the whole point for us. I would rather know what works and what doesn't (both hardware-wise and emotionally) while I'm at home with all my tools and other resources than discover it when I'm out somewhere. We had a 50A installed on the side of our garage, so when the trailer is in the driveway, it's almost fully functional, just don't have sewer provisions (yet )

Camp frt yard . it was 98 degrees outside , the pup had ac , so I set up in the frt yard and turned the ac on , went into the house got a few brews and spent the night in the pup all cool and calm . It rained that night , loved the sound of rain on the roof . The next time I camped in it was at a state park about an hour away , again it rained and stormed , slept like a baby again , I love a rainy night .

Problem is though the campfire in the driveway might give it away...

We bought our Jayco 2400 miles from our driveway and then went the other way 1500 more miles from home. No trouble with the rig so far.

Pretty much trhe same, but just a thousand miles from home. We spent the first night in a city park just off the dealership's property, then another night in a nearby full hookup park before heading home. And now, after nearly four years we've basically had zero problems, at least not caused by me!
