I also agree. Keep your money but adhere to setting that money aside for any repairs.
I bought a 2005 Grayhawk and fell into the same trap. I did get the warranty, and I got it at a great price, but I am still kicking myself for doing it.
So far, I had 1 repair that cost $800. Even with a zero deductible policy, I still had to pay $300 out-of pocket. The policy has a maximum labor rate and I had to pay the tax. So even though it completely bought the component, I had to chip in for labor and tax. Not worth it at all.
Furthermore, I find that, even with a zero deductible policy, I am doing most of the minor repairs myself just to avoid the hassles of driving to the dealer and waiting weeks for it.
