Bent windows on new trailer
Hello everyone. We are proud new owners of a 2011 Jayco QBH29. We noticed when we got the trailer home that the windows from the inside of the trailer next to our bunks look bent and nicked. One side of each window is not sitting flush and it appears that the windows were forced into position with use of a hammer or something, the windows seem fully functional and appear to be sealed from the outside. Is this a common thing with other new trailer owners?

Not normal, sounds like a warranty issue. How many windows are in question?

Crabman, thanks for your reply, the bunkhouse has 2 top windows. Ironically from the outside the windows look perfect. My main concearn is that they are not properly sealed. Also the lower bunks are missing 2 lights. we have lights on the top bunks. I mentiuoned it to the dealer and really did not say much. What should I do next?

If you really believe the windows are not right, stress that fact to the dealer. If you still get no satisfaction the next step would be to contact Jayco. The windows have a foam type gasket between them and the siding. As for the lights, the trailer probably does not come with them. Looking at another trailer of the same model would confirm this. Good luck, Lee.

I agree with Lee...., but you may need to take it up a notch. Have your dealer generate a warranty service claim on the windows and ask them to forward (with photos) it to Jayco warranty service for review/approval for repair, it should only take a couple days for the dealer to get a response from Jayco. If Jayco denies the claim, at least you have documentation in case an issue surfaces later.
If the dealer is not willing to do this, then advise the dealer you will contact Jayco directly via e-mail (start a paper trail) and phone on the matter.
Bob

The squeeky wheel gets the grease. As mentioned, start with the dealer and then move it up a notch.

That`s good news. Some times you just have to make your case and all works out in the end.

Good news and we own the same TT. There aren't lights on the bottom bunks. Kind of strange if you ask me but a couple of LED stick ups solves this.
