27.5 RLTS riding nose high with 3/4 ton TV?

I have read of a few problems with some of the Eagle HT's being almost impossible to get level for towing with the newer and taller trucks. None of the threads specifically mentioned the 27.5 but were mostly about the shorter models. Since I have only put down a deposit and have not actually signed on the dotted line, I thought I would ask you 27.5 owners. I drive a 2015 2500HD 4WD. Do any of you have this sort of rig, and have you had any problems getting the nose of the 5er down to tow level. I would appreciate any input so that I can select another model if this is a common problem.
Thanks.

If it's really an issue, and you love that trailer, consider just lifting up the trailer a couple inches if required. This can be done with an axle flip which is pretty easy to do. Even with that 3/4 ton suspension your truck will still settle down an inch I'm guessing, so take that into account. I kind of doubt you'll have an issue with a stock truck...

If you don't want to raise your trailer you could also consider swapping out a shorter rear axle block on the truck which will bring the back end down an inch and also reduce the amount of rake the truck came with. Kind of like a reverse leveling kit.

We have a 2012 HT 26.5 RLS and it does ride a bit nose high, but nothing that worries me and doesn't bother the fridge while we are towing. Our GMC D/A crew-cab short bed settles one inch when we drop the FW on the hitch. I was interested to see what happened the first time so that's why I know how little it settled. I don't think you should be worried about it, unless the trailer is too close to the top sides of the bed, then you might have a little problem.

Our dealer pointed out when we picked it up that ours was riding pretty nose high. They installed an aftermarket kit that raised the trailer up enough to get things level. Cost about $400 extra. Same effect as the "axle flip" others talked about. Not a big deal - definitely not a deal killer if you otherwise like the trailer.

The 2015 2500HD is definitely higher than my 2007 2500HD was. I thought it looked higher at the dealer when I took delivery of it, so I took photos of the hitch and bumper height with a tape measure beside them and the 2015 is about 3" higher than the 2007. I don't know about the bed for sure, but I'd assume that it also is 3" higher than the older design. Both are 4WD.

I have a HT 29.5 BHDS and a SRW F350 - it rides nose high. I was able to adjust it a bit with the truck hitch but there is not enough pin weight on these trailers to really level everything out. With that being said, my truck rides fairly level and my trailer has plenty of clearance. I'm not too worried about it but I will go to a bigger wheel when the tires wear out. Get the trailer if you like it. It'll work out fine. May not look picture perfect but it'll tow fine.

I put a ht on my 2014 ram 3500 srw and it barely settled and was quite nose high. Only had about 4 in he's bedrail clearance also. They don't have enough pin weight (and 15 inch wheels don't help) for my truck

I want to thank all of you for taking time to share your experiences. I am not yet decided as to what I will do. I am only today installing my hitch. I may just visit the dealership and see how things match up. It seems to me they may have designed the HT's lower to fit half tons and then when they are hooked up to a 3/4 4wd it raises them higher than what they were designed for. May switch over to a non HT.
A great weekend to all.

Here's something I came across this morning that you may be interested in investigating further.

This is not the best shot for showing the "levelness" of my rig but this is my HT 29.5 BDHS hooked to my F350 SRW. There is about 5 inches clearance between bed rail and fifth wheel. I know you mentioned a different floor plan with a different weight but thought I'd thro it out there.

We tow the 23.5 HT with a Ram 4X4 on 20" tires and we too are a little hight but not enough to worry about. We do rotate the tires front to back once a year, just cuz we can.
