The long, narrow exterior storage doors on our Greyhawk are hinged on top and have to be held open with one hand while the other is digging around trying to get stuff out. That works OK until you have to use both hands. At least one time every trip, I scrape or bruise my forearms on the door or the opening. I considered the latches that hold these doors in the open position, but the awning attachments are in the way. Has anyone on the forum considered flipping the doors and hinging them from the bottom? Could it cause unforeseen problems such as leaks or other difficulties? Seems like it would simplify dealing with these skinny doors.
Before I would do that, I would prop them open with a dowel rod cut to fit (or something like that). I know what you're talking about though, when we were in a Greyhawk that was frustrating. Could you bungee from the awning attachments, or maybe a dual suction cup?
I have 3 kids, I use them as gofers. They seem built for the task.
Seriously though, it took me a call to Jayco to figure out they only put the little door holder latches on the doors that do not have obstructions or are not below a slide out. This to keep you from damaging a door.
They sent me a handful of latches, but said to be careful not to rip it off with the slide.
I have a small orange suction cup thing I bought at Harbour Freight, I will put this on the side of the rv, open the door and then slip a small spring clamp onto it to hold the door open...works pretty good. A stick would work as well.
I use the small (~6-12") bungees you can buy at HD or Lowes, etc., and make a loop with 'em, hook the lock latch bar on the backside of the door, and use the little hooks on the WH vent tab and the gas grill rack to hold the doors open.

Thanks for the ideas. I decided to try an application of jury-rigging metal door holders (the kind that hold the entry door open). The longer arms on these things might work and, being metal, they should be durable.
At the Harrisburg RV show I saw several coaches with the same doors as our Greyhawk and they were installed to open down. I contemplated this on ours but it would be a bigger job to clean the sealant and re do it I think. My DW pointed these out to me cause I talked about doing it. I don't see any problem as long as they are resealed properly.
