Only open slides at beginning of season, so I use the switches vs the remote. However, the remote operation of my awning does the same thing. It works fine from the switch. Would only seem to indicate the problem might be with the remote and wireless transmission or low batteries.

Let me know if changing battery helps. Our remote does the same thing also.Just took our out for first time this week for a couple days. We bought it a week ago. I just started using switches for slides and controls cause the remote would turn on and work for a couple seconds then remote would switch off. Only bad thing is that the LED awning lighting is only on remote from what I can find.

Sometimes mine will do this from either the switches or remote. There is a 20 amp black thermo type breaker in the fuse holder row in the breaker/fuse box that handles the unit for the slides/remote control, etc. In my unit it is at the very end of the fuse row on the right hand side. Every time it does it, if I'm near, by I can hear this thermo breaker click. Wait a few seconds and it will reset. I would change out this thermo breaker or maybe replace it with a slightly larger fuse temporarily to see if this fixes the problem.

The battery that comes in the remote from Jayco is junk. Go buy a good Energizer or Duracell replacement.
