Valve stem extensions

The front and inner tires have extensions that make it easy to check/add air. The outer rear is a different beast. It6 looks like there is a short extension on it, but it needs something like a 180 deg. one to get good access. Anyone have something that works. I tried to pry off the wheel cover with a large flat blade screw driver, but I'm afraid I'll bend it's outer edges.

I know I've been asking a lot of questions, but that's an old newbie thing.

go to autoparts store and get a gauge and an air chuck for big trucks.

I purchased two of these locally and straightened the bend slightly to give a little clearance for my tpms sensor.

MadDad, I had braided steel extensions put on the duals. Easy access with the wheel liners in place. Prior to this, I had to remove the wheel liners. Hopefully you received a T-wrench to remove your liners. There are 2 lugs with dimples in them on each liner.......take them loose and you have access to your wheels...you'll never pry them off.

I just ditched the wheel covers. PITA anyway

I pry the wheel covers off on our 2011 31DS with a mini pry lever. A large flat blade would work too. 'Bang' them back on with a rubber mallet, the fronts are very difficult to replace. Be careful to line up the valve stems with the bigger cut-outs.

That's what I did when we had a Greyhawk. I had the extenders with the bend in them for the inside stems, but never put them on. They usually work well, but there are failure stories and removing the wheel covers was easy. Prying gently all around the cover will keep them in good shape. Mine were off many times and you would never know it to look at them.

I've thought many times about buying some kind of extensions for my dually tires, but I've also been afraid of introducing more opportunities for a leak.

I just remove the wheels to check the air 2 or 3 times per year, usually just before each big trip. I'll be doing it this weekend before my trip to TMS next week.

I finally got a set of the 135 deg extensions, and did have to bend them a little more. They probable would have worked just fine as is, but not with the TPM sensors.. Also had to grind out the oval to make it a little more accessable for the front tire TPM sensor. All is well. Make sure you check all connections with soapy water for leaks. Had a couple of slow weepers.

I bought a set of DuallyValves stems. Bought them online for $120 for all 4 rear wheels. They are made of brass and extend out far enough to check and fill my tires easily.
