looking for information on deleting 6.7 liter RAm and how it's going after your deleted deleted

I researched a EGR/DPF delete + Tune for my LMM Duramax and decided against it because I live in a diesel smog state. My research indicates significant fuel economy and performance improvement but the thought of undoing the delete every 2 years for the inspection was pretty unappealing so I am still running a stock truck.

After the recent "winning" law-suit by the EPA against the tuner companies (financial and requiring the tuners to be taken off the market)for DPF deletes it may be very hard to find anybody to get you the tuner or do the work,

Grumpy is correct, it will be hard to find a tuner now. We just paid $600 to have our EGR cleaned and replaced. By the time it comes up again it will be someone else's truck.

They won't have to ban diesel trucks they'll just nudge them off the market with increasing regulations.

After reading all the stuff on the various tuners and all the lawsuits, I just left my 2007 5.9 cumins stock. It does the job well and at a fairly economical price so I just left it at that.

For the sake of the environment, the fundamental reason why we own RVs, my 2007 6.7l is still stock.

I monitor and manage the regen process effectively with an edge gauge and clean my EGR valve and inter cooler myself ( not hard if you can turn a wrench)

You can't just take things off on the 6.7 diesel trucks. The computer will need info from the missing parts. A programmer will supply that information so the truck will still run without throwing codes.

I think what we will see is more "computer geeks" learning the ins and outs of the OE programs and learning how to reprogram a computer to their customers needs. I know of a guy here in west Mi who will do a personal tune to almost any vehicle for a couple hundred bucks. He gurantees that he can get my Tahoe to 18-19mpg, increase horse power and extend the life of my trans by just changing a few things in my pcm.

I just ordered the parts to do a dpf delete on my truck. It comes with tuner egr delete and 4" turbo back exhaust. I have never heard anybody say I wish I didn't delete my truck so hope all goes well, I am tired of sending fuel thru the exhaust.
